The classes offered may have a small nominal fee, however many of the activities at the Community Centers are free!
A few favorite activities to note:
Morning Play Group - A great option for mid-morning (10 AM - 12 PM) play for toddlers and younger that have energy to burn! This is a great FREE opportunity during winter months. Meet up with a friend or two and play with the toys, ride-ons and balls that are available at Morningside Community Center on M/W/F and Kuehn Community Center T/TH! See full calendar here.
Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation Classes - From family friendly glow hikes, to toddler music and movements classes and teen kickball, there are several fun classes to get involved with! Weekday Open Gym & Game Room - Meant for kids ages 7 & up, this is a FREE opportunity to burn off energy and enjoy time with friends. Depending on your location, you can play games such as air hockey, video games, shoot some hoops, etc after school is out from 2:45-5:45 PM. This is offered at select Community Centers Monday through Friday.
Weekend Open Gym & Game Room - Fun for all ages, this time is for drop in play, no organized sports are allowed. Play some volleyball or basketball, or try your luck at a game in the game room! Open Gyms are offered from 1-5 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Believe it or not, the Community Centers offer even more! From Computer Labs, Weeknight Open Gym and Court Rentals to Meeting Room Rentals (some free), these centers are a wonderful asset to the community!
